Welcome! Welcome to my gratitude quotes blog. In line with the theme of this blog -- thank you, thank you very much for coming to visit here. Each of you who stops by here is a unique, special and wonderful person (I know some of you don't think so...but hear me out.) Each of you has your own sotry -- your history -- your experience in school, your parents, good memories, bad memories.
In life you have a choice -- like many choices, it is a dynamic choice (that is, you can make the choice moment by moment)-- to either be proactive or to be a victim. Whichever choice you make has certain effects to it. To choose the role of victim (notice, that when you are a victim, you are blaming something or someone outside of yourself for your sorry state) is to give away your power. The power to change things. Simply by believing that you can make a difference, doors start opening to make that a reality.
So it is with other aspects of your being: if you choose to believe that you are unique, special and wonderful -- that is what you become -- if you truly believe, with every fiber of your being, without a scintilla of doubt.
My goal with this blog is to, not bury you in a morass of quotes about gratitude. In many cases, not all, too much of a good thing can destroy the ability to appreciate what a good thing it is.
So, for the purposes of meditation -- I will offer you a quote about gratitude to consider for the day. Maybe I'll include a true story. Maybe I'll give you something to consider throughout the day.
So let's start.
The quote for today is:
"I complained because I had no shoes and then I met a man who had no feet."
